Carol Reynolds-Srot has been a professional writer and editor for more than three decades. She has spent most of her career in the newspaper industry—working for papers that include the Detroit Free Press, Long Island Newsday, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, and the Miami Herald. She is currently the associate editor in the Office of Publications and Creative Services, here at Nova Southeastern University (NSU). She received her B.A. in Journalism and her M.A. in Composition, Rhetoric, and Digital Media.
Throughout her career, Reynolds-Srot has coordinated and managed many internship and mentoring programs for college students. She is a former scholarship chair for the South Florida Black Journalists Association and past president of the Florida chapter of the Asian American Journalists Association. In the words of politician Christine Gregoire, she believes that “education is the foundation upon which we build our future.”
