Reymond Levy, M.A., is an Adjunct Professor at the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS), who began teaching composition in 2006. A native of Venezuela, since 1986 he has lived in South Florida, where in 2010 he earned a Master of Arts degree in Writing at Nova Southeastern University. Reymond has completed his coursework for a Ph.D. in English Composition and TESOL, and is researching his dissertation, focused on students’ expectations and experiences of peer review workshops in a first-year composition course integrating monolingual and multilingual individuals speaking English. In particular, he is interested in how these students negotiate perspectives on the value of their peers’ feedback, and consequently, on peer review. Also, Reymond’s pedagogical interests include the foregrounding of critical literacy in regard to how students engage with the process of research by drawing on their analytical faculties as a resource to synthesize ideas, and as a factor contributing to new discoveries through composing.
