Jane G. Duncan’s passion for theatre has been fostered through her educational pursuits (B.A Theatre, M.F.A. Acting, Ph.D. Theatre Studies) and is evident in the many ways she practices. Duncan has worked as an actor, director, dialect coach, dramaturg, and educator for twenty years. Since 2005, she has served South Florida theatre through teaching, acting, and dramaturging (Barry University, Nova Southeastern University, The Promethean Theatre, Mosaic Theatre, Florida Stage, New Theatre, Thinking Cap Theatre). Duncan is particularly interested in new works, and has worked with South Florida playwrights Andie Arthur, Christopher Demos-Brown, Ricky J. Martinez, Andrew Rosendorf, and Juan C. Sanchez.
In 2011, Duncan was honored to receive the Adjunct Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award from the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences at NSU, where she also works as the Executive Director of Assessment and Accreditation.
