Welcome to the undergraduate English major at the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences!
Faculty members in our program stand ready to help you broaden your horizons and develop skills to prepare for a 21st Century career. Our English program offers an array of courses to hone reading and interpretive skills as well as improve your analytical and creative writing. Classes introduce you to works and authors new to you and provide additional insights about readings you already know. To supplement coursework, you have opportunities to meet well-known authors and participate in book discussions. You can also contribute short stories, poetry, or artwork for publication in Digressions, our undergraduate literary magazine.
