Message from the Chair

On behalf of the Department of History and Political Science in NSU's College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, I'm pleased to welcome you—future thinkers, changers, and leaders—to learn more about our department!

Our courses are designed to engage you in our diverse, dynamic, and globalized world. Our location, in the heart of the Americas, offers a wide variety of cultural opportunities, experiential learning, and national and international real-world internships. Our curriculum, steeped in the liberal arts tradition, offers a dynamic course of study with critical thinking, reading, and writing. With 11 full-time faculty members, our department offers small class sizes, individualized attention, and the opportunity to work closely with experts in their fields.
