The CAHSS Writing Center is a student-centered program that helps students achieve academic excellence. The Writing Center facilitates a Writing Fellows program that provides course-based writing assistance to students enrolled in COMP and UNIV courses, and it provides writing assistance to students enrolled in CAHSS graduate programs. Department of Writing and Communication faculty provide leadership to the Writing Center.
The Writing Center also provides faculty, fellows, and students with innovative teaching, learning, and scholarship opportunities both in and out of the classroom. Faculty and fellows collaborate on research and pedagogy, and students work with and learn from a diverse community of writers and researchers. The program supports NSU’s mission and core values.
Face-to-face sessions are generally conducted in the Writing Studio located in Alvin Sherman Library Lab B (second floor). Graduate students and undergraduates enrolled in online COMP courses have the option to meet for online sessions.
