NSU hosts children's health fair
Free exams offered to attendees
NSU hosted its annual free "A Day for Children" health fair Sept. 18 at the Fort Lauderdale/Davie campus.
The College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences' Brief Therapy Institute and the College of Psychology's Psychology Services Center participated in the event, which offered free assessments for hearing, vision, dental health, speech/language, nutrition and more. Organizations such as the Children's Services Council, Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, Florida KidCare and the Young at Art Museum participated in the event.
The Broward Sheriff's Office and Crimestoppers offered free fingerprinting and ID card services. NSU's Alvin Sherman Library provided library cards to children and parents to encourage reading. Children also received free haircuts provided by AVEDA and Michelle and Marie hair salons.
