Professional Interests

Ronnie Wallace, Ph.D., has worked in a variety of public and private sector criminal justice roles over the past 30 years. He began his career as an Adult Probation and Parole Officer with the North Carolina Department of Corrections. He also worked as a Parole Case Analyst with the North Carolina Parole Commission before leaving the public sector. During his time in the private sector, Dr. Wallace worked in a variety of consulting and technology roles focused on reviews of existing business practices and design of automated systems for criminal justice agencies nationwide. His last consulting engagement was on a project with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation where he oversaw the teams responsible for business process improvement, organizational change management, and training as part of an implementation of an automated offender management system. He also has experience teaching criminal justice courses online at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
