In this role, Schatz works to support student success through systems, programs, and university-wide collaboration. She is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to promote student success and also serves as the Administrative Advisor to the CAHSS Student Government Association.
Prior to joining NSU in 1998, Schatz served as the Director of Planning and Finance at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts and as the Senior Research Analyst in the Office of President at the University of California.
Her passion for higher education and student engagement has led Jayne to design systems to better track student performance and to monitor student progress. Schatz works to provide students with the tools needed to battle against the nemeses of all students -- anonymity and procrastination – by encouraging students to get involved, become engaged, and take advantage of the outstanding services available to them at NSU.
