Professional Interests

Jihong Park began playing piano at the age of seven. A self-taught beginner, he started formal training at the age of 17 and studied for his Bachelor’s in Piano Performance at Chung-ang University in South Korea. He won second-place in numerous Korean piano competitions including the Korean Youth Piano Competition, the Chang-won University Piano Competition, and the Chon-nam Piano Competition, and he received a full undergraduate scholarship for piano performance. Park has performed in multiple national and international venues, including the Kyungnam Art Center in Korea and the Isidor Bajic Music Academy in Serbia. He earned his Master’s in Piano Performance at the University of Miami and his Master’s in Music History/Literature at Florida Atlantic University. He serves as an adjunct faculty member and staff accompanist at Nova Southeastern University. Park is certified by the Music Teachers National Association.
