Professional Interests

Margaret M. Ledford (Theatre Technical Manager) hails from Chattanooga, Tennessee where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Speech from the University of Tennessee and studied Cubist-Expressionistic Scenography post WWI abroad at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. She is a nine-time Carbonell Award nominated director, a multiple Silver Palm winner for direction, a Carbonell winner in Lighting Design, and was the Associate Artistic Director and Resident Director for The Promethean Theatre for eight years. Margaret has directed for many S FL theaters including: New Theatre, Naked Stage, Mosaic Theatre, Caldwell Theatre, Arts Garage, Florida Stage, and Thinking Cap Theatre. Ledford is a Co-Founder-Creator of Mangrove Creative Collective, a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association and the South Florida Theatre League (former Board President), and is also City Theatre’s Summer Shorts Festival Artistic Director at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts.
