Jamie Johnson is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Writing and Communication at NSU's College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS). She has taught composition, literature, and humanities courses at Florida Atlantic University, Michigan State University, Flagler University, and the University of North Florida. Her research interests include Animal Studies, Twentieth and Twenty-first Century Literature, and Continental Philosophy. She regularly presents at conferences and has published in various academic journals on Virginia Woolf, D. H. Lawrence, Heidegger, Derrida, and John Updike. Her latest publication is a contribution on the human-animal relationship in D.H. Lawrence: New Critical Perspectives and Cultural Translation, Cambridge Scholars Publishing 2016.
