Welcome to the website for the Consortium for Narrative Research and Practice. A collaborative effort of the Departments of Family Therapy, Multidisciplinary Studies, and Conflict Resolution Studies, we are proud to open up space to share helpful information and stimulating conversation about the challenging and exciting work that we all engage in each day.
Initiated by the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS), the Consortium for Narrative Research and Practice is an interdisciplinary undertaking begun in April 2008 to serve as the foundation for the development of narrative approaches in both clinical therapy and community outreach. The purpose of the Consortium is to promote continuous collaboration among the CAHSS Departments of Family Therapy, Multidisciplinary Studies, and Conflict Resolution Studies for the benefit of students, faculty, alumni, and individuals from the local, national, and international communities. The Consortium is designed to provide multiprofessional training and educational opportunities in the areas of clinical practice, conflict resolution, community projects, social justice, and multicultural research. The Consortium is committed to developing and maintaining partnerships with our sister schools and community agencies by providing a focal point for people to meet one another in an inclusive learning and communal context.
We hope you will check this site frequently for the latest news relating to Narrative Therapy and community work activities at Nova Southeastern University, in Florida, and around the world.
